Introduction
A baby needs a name. Even if it’s just ‘Baby’, which happens more than you’d think. Ultimately, it’s up to you what you go with, but it’s a good idea to consider a few things when choosing a baby name.
Things to consider when choosing a baby name
Do you want something unusual or classic? Is the name you like too popular? It might not be fun for them to be the fifth little Hashtag in their class. If you don’t know the sex of the baby yet you might want to shortlist baby names for both or some that work for either.
How will it sound with their last name? If your surname is King for example, you might want to keep away from Joseph. Or be prepared for his little friends to keep 'Joe King' about it in a few years' time.
Then again, you might prefer to wait until you meet your baby so you can finally put a name to a cute, little face.
